After one washing, these are soft and comfy; the mark on the top/bottom helps when placing the fitted sheet, and the top sheet is wide enough to be tucked in on both sides of the king-sized bed. As with all fitted sheets, there is excess which has to be tucked under repeatedly - tough for bedding manufacturers to make sheets that fit the wide variety of mattress depths common today. These are better than most, but still more than we need.
The one question that we can't answer yet is how the color will hold up after multiple washings.

If you've seen the movie "Moonstruck," you'll recall Vincent Gardenia's explaining that copper pipes "cost money because they save money." Such is the case with our Wamsutta Egyptian Cotton sheets. Yes -- they cost more than your average sheets. We've tried competitors from other manufacturers and they simply don't feel as good, look as good or hold up from laundering as well as these sheets do. That makes them worth the premium -- and remember: you're worth it too.

I purchased these sheets because I have a set I bought 10 years ago & still use. They last that long! These are slightly different but still have that cool cotton feel. I am pleased & for me they are definitely worth the money.
